Previously, we attended:
Komikon last November 19, 2011
Was there with Nello to
Blizzardstrike with X-Men cosplayers! This is in front of the comics booth.
Freedom wall! By the time I saw this, it was already crowded, there was virtually no place to write! But I am already content to see a Yusuke Urameshi sketch. Yu Yu Hakusho rocks! :D
Jiggy Cruz as host for the Komikon Awards. I was happy to see some of the artists I voted for win.
My sister, Sam at our booth :)
Ozine Fest last December 28 & 29, 2011
Was there again with Nello. Took commissions, sold fan merchandise, gave away some of our works, met a lot of cool indie artists!
That's me an Nello at our booths. I was busy taking art commissions.
This is one of the awesome toy display. It's my favorite ^_^
Toy display booth
These are entries for the toy photography contest. I wasn't able to join, but I had fun looking at the contest entries.
In my opinion, conventions are not complete without Erza Scarlet cosplayers! <3
Above is Mistgun and Loke (Leo).
I love the details of Mistgun's costume. I wish I had a chance to take a nicer picture of him, but he was hurrying to leave. Come to think of it, that's very in-character of him. Haha. I'll catch you next time around, Mistgun ;)
Other than these three, there were more Fairy Tail cosplayers. Two years ago when my group first cosplayed Fairy Tail, a lot of people don't know this manga yet. When hearing what animanga we're cosplaying from, they go, "Fairy tale? You mean like Cinderella and Snow White??" But now there are a lot of Fairy Tail cosplays during conventions. I'm delighted wherever I see an Erza. I am very biased, am I not? I just love Erza! Now, let's move on before this becomes another FT-centric entry...
Karaoke contest! This was held before the main cosplay competition, so there were fewer people in front of the stage. Here's a really good cosplayer singing along to his favorite anime OST.
Crowd of people! Some of them are lining up for the maid cafe, while some are moving towards the stage area. That line of table is where our booth is located, so when the crowd doubled in number, (and it did just a few minutes after this photo was taken) it was impossible for us artists to take a picture of the crowd. There were so many people, that Nello and I had to watch the cosplay competition by standing on our chairs. For some reason it made watching the cosplay catwalk more fun :D
Overall, it was a fairly successful event. Thank you, Ozine people, till next event!
Next up:
Otaku Expo on January 21 & 22, 2012
Will join again with Nello to sell fan merchandise and maybe take commissions. ~blizzardstrike will be there too. ~Redseangel and Meijhel didn't join but hopefully next time. :)
